BMW S1000R K47 EURO 4 Tuning 2017 to 2020 – what the Performance Flash achieves
The FLAWLESS ECU Performance Flash replaces the stock software in the original BMW S1000R K47 engine control unit for model years 2017 to 2020. Adjustments are made to injection, ignition, lambda control, and the throttle valve characteristic curve – this results in around 15 hp more power, 10 Nm more torque, and a noticeably more homogeneous power delivery, without any additional hardware on the motorcycle.
Unlike with piggyback modules or auxiliary control units, we intervene directly in the stock software. The optimization remains invisible from the outside, the ECU software number does not change, and BMW Motorrad diagnostic testers can continue to be used without restriction.
We tailor every piece of software individually to your motorcycle and the hardware actually installed. Upon request, this can be combined with a gear-dependent permanently open exhaust flap, Linear Throttle, a lowered fan temperature, and an individually configured overrun fuel cut-off for pops & bangs.

Performance increase for the BMW S1000R K47
We write the tuning software individually for your BMW S1000R K47 and adapt the maps to the hardware installed on your motorcycle.
Depending on the setup, we achieve a power increase of approx. +15 hp as well as around +10 Nm of torque.
In addition to the pure power increase, we primarily improve the power delivery. The S1000R accelerates more homogeneously and smoothly and reacts more directly to throttle inputs overall.
The typical constant throttle jerk of the S1000R is also significantly reduced or eliminated by the optimized maps.
Optimized injection and AFR values of the BMW S1000R K47
As part of the BMW S1000R ECU tuning, we also adapt the injection maps. This ensures the air-fuel ratio (AFR) values of your S1000R K47 are in a range optimized for the respective setup.
In addition to improved rideability, this can also reduce thermal stress. The adjusted mixture preparation results in lower exhaust temperatures, which can thermally relieve the exhaust valves and cylinder heads in particular.
Exhaust flap control of the BMW S1000R K47
Do you want to hear more from your BMW S1000R K47? Upon request, we will leave the exhaust flap permanently open.
We program the flap control in a gear-dependent manner: as soon as a gear is engaged on your S1000R, the exhaust flap remains permanently open. This way, you not only feel the extra power, you also hear it.
Linear Throttle for the BMW S1000R K47
Do you want a more direct and better-controllable response? Upon request, we can program a linear throttle grip curve. For example, 50% throttle grip position equals exactly 50% throttle valve position.
This gives you a significantly more direct and predictable response from your BMW S1000R K47.
Optimize fan temperature of the BMW S1000R K47
Upon request, we can lower both the switch-on and switch-off temperatures of the fans by approx. 4 °C each.
This means active cooling starts earlier and runs longer. Your S1000R remains reliably in the optimal temperature window, even when riding very sportily, in high ambient temperatures, or in city traffic.
Pops & Bangs and overrun crackle on the BMW S1000R K47
We adjust the overrun fuel cut-off of your BMW S1000R K47 individually to your wishes and the installed setup – from subtle burbles to clearly audible pops and bangs.
Important: With a setup including a catalytic converter, only subtle burbles are possible. Please specify when ordering if a cat is installed on your S1000R so that we can adjust the configuration accordingly.

- a sports air filter, e.g., from K&N, BMC, or DNA
Without these components, the specified power gain cannot be fully realized. The other features of the optimization – rideability, AFR values, exhaust flap, Linear Throttle, fan temperature, and overrun fuel cut-off – are available to you independently of this.

We lower the switch-on and switch-off temperature of the fans by approx. 4 °C each. Active cooling starts earlier and runs longer, which thermally relieves the engine during sporty riding and in high ambient temperatures.
Do I need a sports exhaust or sports air filter for the optimization?
For the specified performance increase, yes – for the S1000R K47, an aftermarket rear silencer and a sports air filter are necessary. The other functions of the optimization are also available to you with stock hardware.
Does the optimization also work with a catalytic converter?
Yes. The performance increase and the optimized injection maps are also possible with a catalytic converter. Regarding the overrun fuel cut-off, however, only subtle burbles are possible with a cat, no pops and bangs.
Is the software tuned to my exhaust system?
Yes. During tuning, we take into account the installed rear silencer, air filter, catalytic converter, and other relevant modifications. Please provide this information in the comment field of your order.
Can I continue to use a BMW Motorrad tester?
Yes. BMW Motorrad diagnostic testers continue to work without restriction because the ECU software number remains unchanged.
Does the control unit need to be opened for programming?
No. The ECU is not opened or damaged during programming. The optimization is also not recognizable from the outside.
How long does the processing take?
After your ECU is received, processing generally takes place within 24 hours. For shipments from Switzerland, the processing time is usually 24 to 72 hours.
