Kawasaki Z 900 from 2025 - FLAWLESS ECU Performance Flash
Kawasaki Z 900 Tuning from 2025 – what the Performance Flash achieves
The FLAWLESS ECU Performance Flash replaces the stock software in the original engine control unit of the Kawasaki Z 900 for model years 2025 and newer. We adjust the injection, ignition, lambda control, and throttle characteristics – this results in approximately 3 hp more power, 5 Nm more torque, and a noticeably smoother power delivery, without any additional hardware on the motorcycle.
Unlike piggyback modules or auxiliary control units, we intervene directly in the stock software. The optimization remains invisible from the outside, and the ECU is neither opened nor damaged.
We tailor each software individually to your motorcycle and the hardware actually installed. On request, this can be combined with the FLAWLESS Power Mapswitch, a lowered fan temperature, the removal of the Vmax limiter, the deactivation of the immobilizer, and an individually configured fuel cut-off for pops & bangs.

Performance increase for the Kawasaki Z 900
We write the tuning software individually for your Kawasaki Z 900 and adapt the maps to the hardware installed on your motorcycle.
Depending on the setup, this allows us to achieve an increase in power of approx. +3 hp as well as around +5 Nm of torque.
In addition to pure power gains, we primarily improve power delivery. The Z 900 accelerates more smoothly and consistently and reacts more directly to throttle inputs overall.
The typical constant throttle jerk of the Z 900 is also significantly reduced or eliminated by the optimized maps.
Optimized injection and AFR values for the Kawasaki Z 900
As part of the Kawasaki Z 900 ECU tuning, we also adjust the injection maps. This ensures that the Air-Fuel-Ratio (AFR) values of your Z 900 are within an optimal range for your specific setup.
In addition to improved drivability, this can also reduce thermal stress. The adjusted fuel mixture results in lower exhaust gas temperatures, which particularly relieves thermal strain on exhaust valves and cylinder heads.
FLAWLESS Power Mapswitch for the Kawasaki Z 900
With the optional FLAWLESS Power Mapswitch, you can switch between different mappings via the riding modes of your 2025+ Kawasaki Z 900.
For example, you can keep the stock mapping in one riding mode and use the full FLAWLESS ECU Performance Flash in the other riding modes – with or without pops & bangs.
Optimize the fan temperature of the Kawasaki Z 900
Upon request, we can lower both the switch-on and switch-off temperatures of the fans by approx. 4 °C each.
This ensures active cooling starts earlier and runs longer. Your Z 900 will remain more reliably within the optimal temperature range, even during very sporty riding, high ambient temperatures, or in city traffic.
Remove the Vmax limiter of the Kawasaki Z 900
The top speed of your Z 900 is electronically limited as standard.
Upon request, we can remove this top-speed limit so that the acceleration does not cut off prematurely.
Deactivate the immobilizer of the Kawasaki Z 900
Do you use your Z 900 on the racetrack? Upon request, we can deactivate the immobilizer.
This allows your motorcycle to be started without an ignition key – practical if the machine has been converted for track use.
Pops & Bangs and overrun burbles on the Kawasaki Z 900
We adapt the fuel cut-off of your Kawasaki Z 900 individually to your wishes and the installed setup – from subtle overrun burbles to clearly audible pops and bangs.
You can also program the pops & bangs to specific riding modes in the configurator.
Important: With a setup featuring a catalytic converter, only overrun burbles are possible. Please specify when ordering if your Z 900 has a catalytic converter installed, and we will adjust the configuration accordingly.
Individual tuning for your setup
Every software optimization for the Kawasaki Z 900 is tailored to your motorcycle's installed setup. Please provide the following information in the comment field when placing your order:
- Installed slip-on or exhaust system, e.g., LeoVince, Bodis, Remus, Austin Racing, Arrow, or Akrapovic
- Installed air filter, e.g., K&N, BMC, or Rade Garage
- Catalytic converter present: yes or no
- Other relevant modifications
This allows us to optimally tune the mapping of your Kawasaki Z 900 to your motorcycle.
Suitable performance parts for your Kawasaki Z 900
Exhaust systems and air filters in particular influence optimal map tuning. You can find suitable parts in our following categories:
- Exhaust systems from Akrapovic, LeoVince, and MIVV
- Sport air filters from K&N and MWR; BMC or Rade Garage are also suitable
Systems from Bodis, Remus, Austin Racing, or Arrow are also suitable. We are happy to clarify which combination is best for your setup before you place your order.
What hardware is required for maximum performance?
To achieve the stated performance increase on the Z 900, the following are mandatory:
- An aftermarket slip-on or sport exhaust, e.g., from Bodis, Remus, Austin Racing, Arrow, or Akrapovic
- A sport air filter, e.g., from K&N or BMC
Without these components, the specified power gain cannot be fully realized. The other functions of the optimization – drivability, AFR values, map switch, fan temperature, Vmax limiter, immobilizer, and fuel cut-off – are available to you regardless.

Why FLAWLESS Industries?
We have been developing our software optimizations in-house for over 5 years and write every map individually – we do not use purchased pre-made files.
The basis for this is created on our own high-performance simulation test bench. Every setup variant – from the stock configuration to the combination of various sport exhaust systems, sport air filters, and configurations with and without catalytic converters – is installed and specifically tuned there during development. Our maps are therefore based on real measurements and not on estimates or copied files.
Every year, we process well over 1000 control units. Development and programming take place entirely in Germany. If you have questions about your setup, you can reach us directly – we will advise you before you order on which configuration fits your motorcycle and intended use.
