KTM 790 Duke EURO 4 Tuning 2017 to 2020 – what the Performance Flash achieves
The FLAWLESS ECU Performance Flash replaces the stock software in the original KTM 790 Duke engine control unit for model years 2017 to 2020. Injection, ignition, lambda control, and throttle valve curves are adjusted – resulting in approximately +6 hp more power, +8 Nm more torque, an eliminated torque dip, and significantly more homogeneous power delivery, without additional hardware on the motorcycle.
Unlike piggyback modules or auxiliary control units, we intervene directly in the stock software. The optimization remains invisible from the outside, the ECU software number does not change, and KTM diagnostic testers can continue to be used without restriction.
We tune each software individually to your motorcycle and the hardware actually installed. It can be combined with the FLAWLESS Power Mapswitch, our optimized FLAWLESS Quickshifter, Linear Throttle, lowered fan temperatures, and an individually configured overrun fuel cut-off for pops & bangs.

Power increase for the KTM 790 Duke
We write the tuning software individually for your KTM 790 Duke and adapt the maps to the hardware installed on your bike.
Depending on the setup, we achieve a power increase of approx. +6 hp and around +8 Nm of torque.
The well-known torque dip of your KTM at approx. 4,500 rpm disappears thanks to our ECU optimization.
Beyond pure power gains, we primarily improve the power delivery. The 790 Duke accelerates more homogeneously and smoothly and reacts more directly to throttle inputs overall.
The annoying constant throttle jerkiness of your KTM also disappears completely after the ECU optimization – giving you a significant boost in rideability.
Higher rev limiter with A2 restriction
If you ride your 790 Duke in the A2-restricted version, the rev limiter is lowered from the factory. As part of our optimization, we raise it to 10,000 rpm – the same value as the original A version.
This gives you access to the entire rpm range and lets the 790 Duke rev out freely again.
Optimized injection and AFR values for the KTM 790 Duke
As part of the KTM 790 Duke ECU tuning, we also adapt the injection maps. This ensures that the Air-Fuel-Ratio (AFR) values of your 790 Duke remain in the optimal range for your specific setup.
In addition to improved rideability, this also provides thermal relief for the exhaust valves and cylinder heads, as exhaust gas temperatures drop due to the adjusted mixture preparation.

Full attack at the push of a button? With the FLAWLESS Power Mapswitch, you can activate and deactivate the Performance Flash via the ride modes of your 790 Duke. You can switch between the original software and the full FLAWLESS ECU Performance Flash at any time – without having to stop or make physical modifications.

FLAWLESS Quickshifter for the KTM 790 Duke
We have developed our quickshift algorithm from the ground up. It gives your 790 Duke noticeably faster shifting speeds and a sportier feel.
To achieve this, we not only refined the interruption times but reworked the entire quickshifter algorithm. The result is faster and cleaner gear changes across the entire rpm range.
Linear Throttle for the KTM 790 Duke
Is the current throttle response not good enough for you? Upon request, we will program your throttle curve 1:1 to the throttle body. In this case, 50% throttle grip position corresponds exactly to 50% throttle body position.
This gives you a significantly more direct and controllable throttle response from your KTM 790 Duke.
Lowered fan temperature for the KTM 790 Duke
You aren't the only one who wants to keep a cool head. We lower both the on and off switching temperatures of the fans by approx. 4 °C.
This keeps your 790 Duke reliably in the optimal temperature window, even during very sporty riding and in city traffic.
Pops & Bangs and overrun rumble for the KTM 790 Duke
Give your KTM 790 Duke the final acoustic polish. We configure the overrun fuel cut-off individually according to your wishes and matched to the installed setup – from subtle overrun rumble to clearly audible popping.
If desired, we can also program the pops and bangs to trigger only in specific ride modes of your 790 Duke. This way, you get them exactly when you want them.
Important: If your bike is configured with a catalytic converter, only overrun rumble is possible. Please specify when ordering if a catalytic converter is installed on your 790 Duke so that we can adjust the configuration accordingly.

To achieve the stated power increase, the following are mandatory for the 790 Duke:

- A sport air filter, e.g., from K&N, BMC, or Rade Garage
Without these components, the stated power gains cannot be fully realized. The other functions of the optimization – rideability, AFR values, Power Mapswitch, Quickshifter, Linear Throttle, fan temperature, and overrun fuel cut-off – are available to you regardless.

What happens to the rev limiter if my KTM is restricted to A2?
We raise it to 10,000 rpm, i.e., to the value of the original A version. This gives you access to the full rev range again.
How does the FLAWLESS Power Mapswitch work?
You activate or deactivate the Performance Flash via the ride modes of your 790 Duke. This allows you to switch between the original software and the optimization at any time. We coordinate with you when ordering which configuration is assigned to which ride mode.
What does the FLAWLESS Quickshifter achieve?
We developed the quickshift algorithm from scratch and refined the interruption times. The result is faster and cleaner gear changes across the entire rev range of your 790 Duke.
What does the Linear Throttle do?
It sets the throttle grip curve 1:1 to the throttle valve position. 50% throttle grip means exactly 50% throttle valve position, which makes the response more direct and easier to modulate.
Why is the fan temperature lowered?
We lower the fan's on and off switching points by approx. 4 °C. This keeps your 790 Duke more reliably in the optimal temperature window, even during very sporty riding.
Do I need a sport exhaust or sport air filter for the optimization?
For the specified power increase, yes – an aftermarket muffler and a sport air filter are necessary for the 790 Duke. The other functions of the optimization are available to you even with stock hardware.
Does the optimization also work with a catalytic converter?
Yes. The power increase and optimized injection maps are also possible with a catalytic converter. However, with the overrun fuel cut-off, only overrun rumble is possible with a catalytic converter, not pops and bangs.
Is the software tuned to my exhaust system?
Yes. We take into account the installed muffler, air filter, catalytic converter, and other relevant modifications during tuning. Please provide this information in the comment field of your order.
Can I continue to use a KTM tester?
Yes. KTM diagnostic testers continue to work without restriction, as the ECU's software number remains unchanged.
Does the control unit need to be opened for programming?
No. The ECU is not opened or damaged during programming. The optimization is also not detectable from the outside.
How long does the processing take?
After receipt of your ECU, processing usually takes place within 24 hours. For shipments from Switzerland, the processing time is usually 24 to 72 hours.
