Our FLAWLESS ECU Performance Flash for KTM EXC, Husqvarna FE, and GASGAS EC-F models from model year 2017 onwards is receiving one of its most extensive feature updates to date.
With the new update to our Performance Flash, we aren't just expanding individual functions. We are giving you significantly more ways to individually tailor the behavior of your KTM EXC, Husqvarna FE, and GasGas EC-F to your specific purpose.
Three maps, freely selectable startup maps, the new FLAWLESS Gear Switch, the highly configurable hardcut limiter, as well as launch control with hardcut flame limiter and the legendary quickshift pops make your Performance Flash more flexible than ever before.
3 Maps. One Bike.
Previously, two maps were traditionally available for EXC, FE, and EC-F models. With our new update, we can now integrate a third map.
This opens up entirely new configuration possibilities:
For example, different performance characteristics can be stored for various areas of use—such as a restricted map on Map 1, the Performance Flash on Map 2, and a map for maximum aggression with a hardcut limiter on Map 3.
This means you no longer have to choose between just two setups.

The new KTM CAN-bus map switch is required to use the third map and certain additional functions; you can find it here: KTM / Husqvarna combo switch QS, suitable for KTM EXC / Husqvarna FE models from 2017 onwards
When selecting the retrofit, we supply the appropriate map switch including the required adapter directly.
No additional adapter is required for models from model year 2024 onwards. For older models, the adapter depends on the installed diagnostic plug:
- White diagnostic plug: E4 adapter
- Red diagnostic plug: E5 adapter
FLAWLESS Gear Switch
With the new FLAWLESS Gear Switch, the Performance Flash can for the first time be activated depending on the engaged gear.
For example, do you want to generally start your motorcycle with a defined map and only activate the full performance configuration once you shift into 2nd gear?
No problem.
The gear becomes the switch.
Your Map. Your Start.
With the new update, you can also determine for yourself which map your motorcycle should be active in after starting.
Map 1, Map 2, or Map 3—you decide.
The desired start map is stored directly in the ECU and is automatically available after every restart.
This allows the bike to be tailored even more precisely to your personal use case.
Hardcut Limiter – now even more individual
Our hardcut limiter also receives significantly more configuration options:
The hardcut limiter for your KTM EXC, Husqvarna FE, and GasGas EC-F can be individually assigned to a specific map.
Additionally, you can now decide whether the hardcut limiter is active in every gear or only in neutral.
Launch Control with Hardcut Flame Limiter
We can now retrofit launch control for older EXC, FE, and EC-F models—including the popular hardcut flame limiter.
With our FLAWLESS Launch Control, we are bringing the start function known from the SX-F and FC models to your KTM EXC, Husqvarna FE, and GasGas EC-F.
Optionally, we also offer launch control with an acoustic function.
In this mode, the hardcut limiter is active during the start phase, ensuring aggressive hardcut acoustics and—depending on the setup—visible flame formation.
As soon as you release the clutch, you can continue the start process as usual.
SHIFT. BANG. REPEAT.
Our FLAWLESS Quickshifter GP is also getting an additional optional feature.
On request, our well-known quickshift pops can now be generated when upshifting.
The actual quickshifter function remains fully intact.
Our Quickshifter GP continues to work adaptively, using the motorcycle's existing sensor values. The interruption time is adjusted to the respective shift process, and power is only released again once the next gear has been correctly engaged.
This allows for extremely fast clutchless upshifts starting from the first gear.
And for those who want it a bit more aggressive:

More power remains the foundation
Despite the many new features, the most important component of our Performance Flash remains the actual engine optimization.
Depending on the motorcycle and setup, we typically achieve about +3–4 hp and +4–6 Nm through individual ECU tuning.
However, it is not just about peak power.
We optimize, among other things:
- Power and torque curves
- Throttle response and rideability
- Fuel tuning / AFR
- RPM ranges
- Electronic limiters
- Thermal behavior of the engine
The result is a significantly more homogeneous power band with more usable power across a wider RPM range.
With our optional FLAWLESS Performance Kit, power increases of up to approx. +7–8 hp are possible depending on the model and setup.

With our new update, our FLAWLESS ECU Performance Flash is evolving from a classic engine optimization more and more into a fully configurable high-end flash with far more functions than just power increase.
