With the FLAWLESS Quickshifter GP, we retrofit the quickshifter for your KTM EXC-F 500 (model years 2017 to 2023) directly into the original ECU – for fast upshifting without the clutch, without an additional sensor and without any auxiliary control unit on the motorcycle.
This is made possible by our proprietary custom code in the engine control unit. It works with the existing gear position sensor and utilizes the reference values already learned by the ECU. Manual reading or adjusting of these values is completely unnecessary.
The optimization remains invisible from the outside; the software number of the ECU does not change, and KTM diagnostic testers remain fully functional.

No additional sensor – how the retrofit works
Standard quickshifter retrofits require a separate shift sensor and an additional control unit on the motorcycle. Both are unnecessary with our solution.
Our FLAWLESS Quickshifter GP instead utilizes the existing gear position sensor of your EXC-F 500. The reference values for this sensor are already programmed into the ECU – our custom code uses them directly. You do not need to read, adjust, or install anything.
Closed-loop system and adaptive interruption times
Thanks to the closed-loop system of our code, the ignition is only reactivated once the gear change has been fully completed.
The interruption times adapt to each individual shift. In contrast, systems with fixed interruption times restore the ignition based on a rigid setting – which can be too early depending on the shift. We avoid exactly that, ensuring consistently clean performance with every shift.
How to get your quickshifter retrofit
- Configure – Order the FLAWLESS Quickshifter GP for your KTM EXC-F 500 and select your desired options.
- Send in your ECU – Remove the ECU from your KTM EXC-F 500 and send it to us well-packaged and insured.
- Programming – Upon receipt, your control unit will generally be processed by our technicians within 24 hours. For shipments from Switzerland, the processing time is usually 24 to 72 hours.
- Install and ride – We will send your ECU back to you. Plug it in, install it, and you're ready to go.
No additional hardware necessary
No additional control unit or sensor is installed on the motorcycle for this quickshifter retrofit. We program your original ECU. The control unit is not opened or damaged, and it remains unchanged from the outside.
The software number of your ECU remains unchanged, and KTM diagnostic testers can continue to be used without restriction.

The FLAWLESS Quickshifter GP modifies the engine management software from the stock state. Use is restricted exclusively to closed-off terrain or the racetrack.

Can I still use a diagnostic tester?
Yes. KTM diagnostic testers continue to work without restriction because the ECU software number remains unchanged.
Does the control unit need to be opened for programming?
No. The ECU is not opened or damaged during programming. The retrofit is also not recognizable from the outside.
How long does the processing take?
Upon receipt of your ECU, processing is generally completed within 24 hours. For shipments from Switzerland, the processing time is usually 24 to 72 hours.
