From now on, the FLAWLESS ECU Performance Flash is also available for KOVE: For the 800X Pro and 800X GT models from 2025 onwards, we rewrite the stock software in the original ECU – approx. +6 to +8 hp, +6 to +7 Nm and significantly more homogeneous power delivery. No piggyback module, no auxiliary control unit, no visible modifications.
What the Performance Flash does for the 800X
Injection, ignition, lambda control, and throttle response curves are all adjusted. Beyond the pure power increase, the focus is primarily on rideability: the typical constant-throttle jerking of the 800X is significantly reduced or eliminated, the harsh load changes when opening and closing the throttle are noticeably smoother, and the engine reacts more directly to throttle inputs.
The AFR values are optimized for the respective setup. This not only improves rideability but also lowers exhaust gas temperatures, thermally relieving the exhaust valves and cylinder heads.
The software number and sticker on the ECU remain unchanged, and diagnostic testers can still be used without any restrictions. The ECU is neither opened nor damaged.
Options: Linear Throttle, Catalyst Monitoring, Pops & Bangs
- Linear Throttle: Upon request, we set the throttle grip map 1:1 to the throttle body – 50% throttle grip corresponds exactly to 50% throttle valve position. The "Comfort" riding mode will then also provide full power.
- Catalyst monitoring deactivated: Exhaust systems without a catalytic converter can be installed without a warning light appearing on the dashboard.
- Pops & Bangs: We adjust the fuel cut-off individually – from subtle pops to clearly audible bangs. If a catalytic converter is installed, only subtle pops are possible.

How it works
- Order the appropriate version for your model year and select your desired options.
- Specify in the configurator: installed aftermarket silencer, air filter, catalytic converter (yes/no), and other relevant modifications.
- Remove the ECU and send it well-packaged to us.
- We generally process the software within 24 hours of arrival and send the ECU back to you.
- Install, connect, and ride.
Do I need a sports exhaust or sports air filter?
For the stated power increase, yes: For the 800X, an aftermarket silencer (e.g., SC-Project, Akrapovic, Austin Racing, Remus) and a sports air filter (e.g., K&N, BMC, Rade Garage) are required. Rideability, AFR optimization, Linear Throttle, catalyst monitoring, and fuel cut-off adjustments are also available with stock hardware.
Does the optimization also work with a catalytic converter?
Yes. Power increases and optimized injection maps are also possible with a catalytic converter. Regarding the fuel cut-off, however, only subtle pops are possible when using a catalytic converter, not loud bangs.
Do I have to remove the ECU myself?
Yes. You send us the removed ECU, well-packaged and insured, to FLAWLESS Industries, Pilatusring 20, 91353 Hausen. After we return it, you reinstall it and are ready to ride.
How long does the processing take?
Usually within 24 hours of receipt. For shipments from Switzerland, typically 24 to 72 hours.
Is the ECU opened or altered?
No. The ECU is neither opened nor damaged. The software number and sticker remain unchanged; the optimization is not detectable from the outside.
